It was about two years ago, I was really nervous when I arrived here in London. My step dad was showing me the food,shops and games centre. I was really confused when my step dad was talking to me because I didn’t speak any English.
I was always asking my mum “What did my step dad say?” Mum was telling me to learn English quicker so I understand what my step dad says. The next day I went shopping the clothes were really cool. After an hour I went swimming in the tower were I lived.
The next day my mum was looking for a school in Vauxhall, but they were full so we looked next to Vauxhall it was in Kennigton. We found two schools available, we then visited both of them. I liked St Marks so me and my sister agreed on that one.
We visited the school again and we really enjoyed visiting it. We couldn’t wait to go there, my sister and me were really shy. We got our bags and uniform. The next day I went to school it was a frosty morning, people were asking me questions but I didn’t really understand.
After 20 minutes we lined up in front of my class we went in and there were two teachers one of them was teaching us and the other one was helping. We had maths I got a book we were doing times table I knew it so I put my hand up.
I answered the question and I earned a achievement for not being shy and settling in the class quickly. I got a book which recorded the books I read. Ms Justina was helping me improve a lot I started to understand English and speak at school and home.
At the end of the week we had a assembly and I got a certificate I was really happy. I showed my mum and she was really proud of me we went to the eye of London we played on clown machine I won a tickets to change them for toys,instruments or sweets.
I changed it for sweets and I went to bowling my step dad won but I told him that “I will win next time” he laughed we got in the car and went at my house. I got my swimming costume and I went down in the swimming pool and played games with my sister and my mum and step dad he was throwing me up in the air.
After about an hour we went upstairs and went to sleep. The next day I got my uniform on and left to school with my sister. It took us about half an hour to get to school on the bus. When I got there everyone was waiting for the gate to open so they get inside to play. It opened and we went running inside and played with a tennis ball.
